At St Matthew, we want our kids and families to build strong relationships with each other and Christ as we grow together as “Followers of Jesus, Wherever We Are.” We consider it a privilege to serve your children in a fun and spiritually engaging environment and are extremely thankful for the partnership of parents and volunteers who share in this calling to help them grow in their faith. We want every family to grow as followers of Jesus wherever we are!
What Does a Sunday Look Like?
(ages 3 and under)
We offer a supervised nursery for all kids ages 3 and under during both worship services and the Sunday School education hour. Your youngest family members will be loved and cared for by our highly trained staff.
(ages 3 – 5th grade, September – June)
We have four different age levels that meet every Sunday (September through June) from 9:45–10:30 AM:
- Preschool (ages 3, 4 and early 5’s)
- Kindergarten/1st Grade
- 2nd/3rd Grades
- 4th/5th Grades
We “Dig Deep” into God’s Word with object lessons, Bible stories, videos, crafts, and high energy/low energy games. All kids learn the same Bible Story each week (although the details will vary by age) which enables the learning to continue at home and gives families something to talk about around the dinner table.
J.A.M. – Jesus And Me
(ages 3 – 3rd grade)
Our age-appropriate Children’s Worship, JAM (Jesus and Me), meets every Sunday (summer too!) during both worship services. Kids learn to live their faith as “Followers of Jesus” through daily points and Bible verses, awesome praise music, experiments, games, and a Bible story applied to their everyday lives.
During our Sunday School education time, all kids participate in 15 minutes of music time, learning songs to lead during worship as well as preparing for the Children’s Christmas Musical, a highlight every year for families and our congregation. We also have an Angel Bells group that meets and plays for worship periodically.
Finding Your Way Around
St Matthew Kids’ Staff:
Our Sunday morning Kids’ Staff love kids and are committed to making sure that every child who comes to St Matthew experiences the the love of Jesus with a smile! All volunteers are background checked and serving in the area that best fits them. We want to make sure that everyone – from kids to volunteers – has the best hour of their week at St Matthew serving God and others!

What We Learned: Today we met GI Joe who told us about some of the consequences he endured in boot camp. It might be easy for us to think of that as a punishment for him but there was actually a purpose to it. Ultimately, the army wanted to make sure GI Joe and...
