What can I expect?

HOW LONG IS A ST MATTHEW CHURCH SERVICE?
WHAT ARE THEY LIKE?

Our services each last about 60 minutes. Both services include singing uplifting music, reading God’s Word, an encouraging and hope-filled message about Jesus that applies to our life today, and sharing the Lord’s Supper together. Song lyrics and prayers are projected on the screen so that you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable.

Our Traditional Service uses classic hymns of the faith and draws on our rich heritage of music. Organ and piano accompany our singing and our historic liturgy shapes our worship gathering. This service is held in our sanctuary.

Our Contemporary Service is lead by the St Matthew band and features modern worship music from today’s songwriters as well as classic hymns done in a fresh way. This service is held in our Family Life Center.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

We care more that you’re here than how you’re dressed, but most importantly, we want you to feel relaxed. You’ll find people dressed in lots of different ways – ranging from casual to more formal.

What about my kids?

We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week – and at St Matthew, we make this a priority!

During worship at both services, children experience JAM: Jesus And Me. It’s a special time of worship and teaching just for them. They’ll start in worship with you and then be released before the sermon. It’s okay to go with them and check it out – in fact, we encourage it! They’ll return before the service is over to join you for prayer.
