The Board of Directors has set Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 11:15 AM to convene the annual congregational meeting for St Matthew Lutheran Church. This meeting will be held outdoors in the parking lot, and there will also be a virtual (Zoom) option. In the event of inclement weather, the meeting will still be held virtually at the scheduled time.

Mallory Korpalski

Mallory Korpalski

Mallory Korpalski has been a member at St. Matthew since her family moved to Grand Rapids in 2016. She grew up in Port Hope, MI, attending Lutheran School through 8th grade and serving as Head Organist of her home church for 6 years. She holds degrees from Michigan State University and the University of Michigan Law School. She is a partner at Faegre Drinker, advising clients on various corporate and business matters. Mallory was elected to the St. Matthew Board of Directors in 2019, coordinates the Meals for New Children program at St. Matthew, is active in providing pro bono legal services and serves on the Finance Committee and Emerging Leaders Council of D.A. Blodgett – St. John’s. She and her husband, Kyle, have three young children.

Tom Schaeffer

Tom Shaeffer has been a member of St. Matthew since 2015 when his family moved to Grand Rapids. He grew up in Orlando, FL and was baptized and confirmed at All Saints Episcopal Church in Winter Park, FL. Tom graduated from the University of Central Florida with degrees in Finance, Procurement Management, and Business Administration. Tom joined Sysco Corporation after graduation and worked at Corporate Office and Divisions in Boise (ID), Portland (OR), Houston (TX), Atlanta (GA), and Grand Rapids (MI). Tom has served on the St. Matthew Board of Directors since 2017 and has served the past 2 years as Vice-Chair. Tom and his wife, Susan, have one son, Stefan.

Ryan Vohs

Ryan Vohs has been a member at St. Matthew since 2007, along with his wife Kristin and children Ava, Paisley, Noah and Scarlett. He is the Director of Sales and Marketing at Greatland Corporation, where he has held various roles for the last twenty years. Ryan has served on the Board of Directors at St. Matthew since 2016 as well as the Strategic Planning Committee. He holds an MBA, has participated in professional compensation training and CPP-certified pricing professional programs and has experience with acquisitions and legal contracts

Kate Bloom

Kate Bloom

Nominated for: Secretary

Kate Bloom has been a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church for six years, along with her husband Matt. She grew up in Grand Haven and was baptized and confirmed at Christ Community Church. She attended Michigan State University after high school, where she graduated with a degree in Supply Chain Management. She was a Plant Manager for an automotive assembly plant before resigning to stay at home when she gave birth to her first child. She currently stays at home full-time with their two children and is active at St. Matthew as a Sunday School teacher and in the Womens Bible Study. She has served on the Board for two years, and has been Secretary for one year.

Christina Dunlop

Nominated for: Member At-Large

Christina Dunlop, a West Michigan transplant, thrives on making personal connections with the people she encounters. She brings her strengths of strategic thinking, empathetic listening and communication to everything she does.
Since March, she spends her at home days with her three kids, something she never though she’d do. (It’s an incredible God story- ask her about it!)
Christina has a Journalism and Public Relations degree from Michigan State University, along with work experience in performing arts, non-profit and government marketing/communications.
She and her husband, Jake, joined St Matthew six years ago; she served as chair of the Red Letter Challenge planning committee and co-led a small group for three years.
